my mom told me to go down to the dining table to complete some chinese cloze passages, and offered to help me
with my substandard chinese.
i have spent 37 minutes checking out the meanings of all 4 options to 3 questions. everytime i ask my mom what a word means she goes "check the dictionary"
oh yay that helps!!! by helping me you mean ordering me to check the dictionary? whee i didn't know the dictionary existed!!!
then i got so frustrated with chinese i wondered why i wasn't born and bred in China. saves me a whole lot of trouble since mandarin would be my first language. but no not really i would struggle with english.
then i check out the meaning of 墨守成规 in the dictionary and i don't understand the meaning given.
so i asked my mother about it again and she said "read it out"
so i read. and i asked her for the meaning.
"well, does it mean ....?" (tinge of annoyance in her voice)
"if i knew i wouldn't be asking you"
"but i don't understand what you just read to me"
okay, i'm sorry.forget it. i resorted to checking the english-chinese dictionary and it says "hidebound by convention"
what on earth. why must they use such profound english?
yea i get that hidebound = conservative/narrow....inflexible?
and convention = 1. agreement/contract... 2. rule? 3. meeting?
maybe i should just take my pick and come up with my own definition of the.....what. proverb? phrase? o.O Narrow meeting!!
how am i supposed to know! i'm sorry for being so asinine and useless. oh gosh this is such a torture. i need my A1 for Chinese Os.
i've given up asking my mom. she's all like "can't you see i'm baking! why are you asking me now!"
so much for asking. ok if you're baking why did u get me to come down!
i still have no idea what 墨守成规 means. oh geez.
doesn't help that my house has ALOT of distractions. including my mom's blending machine that's whirring.

i feel like i'm about to fall asleep infront of the keyboard but i've got letters to pen so um, this is sort of a way to keep me awake.
this week in a nutshell: i am gifted so are you!!! it makes the previous days pretty much insignificant.
really, i'll choose the course over wasting time going to the marina barrage. anytime. or the URA (been there in p6). but anyway! we tried making the best out of it by entertaining ourselves. and i have a whole load of candid pictures in my camera of my classmates.!!!!
but most are of the crests opening at the barrage place.

the course has been fab and i like it i wish school would be like this everyday. i don't even mind going back at 9 and walking in the dark is FUN:) not spooky when u have lots of people with you... i've learnt too much to list and i can't be bothered, really.
cried a river today and i wont spoil it for other people:]:]

this week has been more relaxed as compared to last week, but nevertheless i'm still very exhausted:O
*yawn*
today was flag day for the singapore heart foundation! my legs were almost jell-o from standing for so long and from x-country ytd.
it was quite productive at first and i think i said "have a nice day" more than 20 times today. there were some really friendly people!!<3

yesterday was x-country, i forgot breakfast thus i didn't exactly run because i would have died of hunger or something. i ran, then walked for abit and my stomach felt like a washing machine churning air together with my glass of milk that morning in circular motion. then i sprinted all the way back for a few hundred metres. It was also syikin's birthday!!:D HAPPY BIRTHDAY SYIKIN LOVE YOU<3
we celebrated her birthday at pastamania and ps;D i bet she was really touched and we gave her the shirt we drew!!!! yay!!!
p/s: sorry i was not enthusiastic abt taking photos during x-country :S not a fan of picture taking. :D
after X-country we had cheerleading competitions and i think fry won! good job!
PANKHURST got 2nd for banner competition!!!!!<3 and um................we did the usual give me a C-R-E-S-C-E-N-T cheer and we left.
but wait. before that we went to see y.o. i decided that i'll just forget about the matter/accept the unjustified demerit/not argue although i rmb the time we were in the restroom clearly. or i'll get an S/O for talking back maybe? oh well maybe i deserve it.

watched Slumdog Millionare i love the show!!! it was really touching at some parts :)

so anyway! next week is enrichment week = less intense => i am gifted so are you + learning journey + mock exams + chemistry lessons + other lessons.
i hope i do well for A math:):) i don't want to disappoint Mr. Lee

by saying this week is hectic is much of an understatement. but nevertheless i should be thankful for everything i've got and that God has sustained me through this week although it was not exactly tolerable given the truckloads of homework we have.
Help.
my eyelids are drooping i'm going to conk out soon.
and on top of the disgusting workload there's some other reason eug knows ^^ right?? haha luvya babe thanks for being an awesome listening ear when i talk about people i miss and everything else.
and thank youuuuuuuuu cliquers for making school a significant lot better. i should appreciate everyone before we graduate! and eeehweee for massaging my shoulders for abit:) get well soon eehwee's knee!!!

today in a nutshell: lessons till 330, i almost died halfway in school since i sleep so late;( afterwards eug and i went holland we were DRENCHED (not really but i like exaggerating) cuz the weather was just crazy and erratic and it changed every 10 mins or so. ?!?! we Frolick-ed and Bk-ed and we did what we always do every friday. cheap thrills<3 swear we spend all our allowance on food only. and starbucks! i decided not to take 970 today so i took 75 and guess what halfway through the journey victor called and asked me what i was doing on the bus. i just stared at him with my mouth agape when i saw him at the other end of the bus. was really unexpected but so cool how often do u meet ur brother on the bus when u least expect it and no it wasnt planned.
then we were talking and as we walked home we met our brown sister.
even cooler right.

i might die of exhaustion on xanga.
so anyway my sister's mp3 is on full blast its interrupting my train of thoughts. oh gosh MLTR please keep quiet for awhile ><
I CANT THINK!! im throwing it out of the window if it doesnt shut up!!!!!!!!!!

somewhere earlier this week i met ant and we went cafe cartel to pig and do work.
there was this swarm of hc guys the restaurant was infested with beige ppl:P

PE was really fun too! i think we're more bonded as a class now. GO 4S1!!!!!!!!<3 we were team Awesome and we enjoyed ourselves very much during pe. should have brought my cam:(

i would not have survived this week if not for everyone. TGIF but friday is supposed to be the slackest (IMO) but on the contrary it's one of the worst!!
i welcome the weekends with arms opened wide and a big fat grin on my face.

so anyway, cny was pretty crappy. the only fun part was catching up with my childhood friends, mainly kai (steph) and her brothers!
the last two days of school were o-kay but i felt so cold and dizzy all of a sudden after spa skill 3. later i had a throbbing headache and developed a fever.
got home and fell asleep immediately after a shower and while i was sleeping, maddie, lachlan and all left for the airport.
i felt really upset that i didn't get to bade them goodbye cuz i couldn't get out of bed:( could only hear them saying goodbye to ant and all.
made me even more depressed. they're back in syd and uncle sam called to say maddie missed sg and us.
just when i thought she had no feelings she actually missed us! well everytime anyone leaves she barely has any reaction thats why:)
i miss them so bad...:(
the last night spent with them was at somewhere with japanese buffet. i reckon i ate too little for a buffet because i was worrying about Spa the next day.
this week i've been called:

i feel much better now, thanks everyone:)
that does not indicate that i'm going to attend extra chinese class tomorrow. what bull shit:)
